00 ELECTRICIANS SACKED by a special correspondent

For four months electricians at the Sizewell nuclear power station site have had 4 claim in for a #1 site allowance. Two weeks ago because they had heard nothing from the Neticnal Joint. Imdustrial Council they decided to ban overtime and reduce their working week to 42 hours. When they still heard nothing strike action was decided, Meotings were held at the site getes Fridty after noon (October 2nd) and the men stayed out. The management then issued an ultimatum thet the men must inform them by 4.30 if they intended to return to work, After this s spokesman for the management announced thet all 500 had been sacked for failing to work “properly during the past two weeks",
