The Canadian Labour Congress has made a proposal to oxtend the franchise to all those over 18 years of age. This is before the Canadian Parliament, and if it is approved it will add = of a million voters to the federal lists. Since something like half of Canada's population is under 25 years old, this will give youth a powerful political vote.
