; 147th February 1965
In the last week, two factors have made life increasingly more troublesome for those connected with The Week. We have seen a retutn of our financial difficulties. Firstly the Printer has increased his bill by £210 per week (with no extra number of copies produced). Secondly, we have exhausted the Printing Fund established last December.
It is therefore absolutely necessary that a new fund be established to safeguard future issues, It is becoming inccrcasingly hard to "get By" week by week and we must find ways of underpinning the paper.
Since January Ist, many, many new subscriptions have been received and our circulation is incrensing daily, It would be a great set-back if we had to revert temporarily to a duplicuted format, ata time when evervthing else is goine our way apart from the &.s.d of paying bills,
Will YOU help us ?
If possible send us a donation, large or small.
Better still, undertake regular assistance by either filling in and returning the Banker's Order on the reverse of this page, fora few shillings each week}; or by taking a small number of copies to g21l each weck, and letting us have prepayment at the rate of 6d per copy.
If response to this appeal is adequate, then The Week will continue. If it is not, then we will be obliged to reconsider the value of the publication, Let us have your verdict in cash by return of post.
I enclose BeccceteeSgyyqed 28 a donation to The Week.
I do/do not require a receint.
