The following is the text of a resolution passed in. support of Gus Macdonald who has been refused permissio to transfer his membership to the East Islington Labour Party, "This C.L.P. protests most vigorously at the N.2.C. upholding the Action of the East Islington Labour Party in refusing to transfor the membership of Angus Macdonald. Comrade Macdonald is a bone : fide momber of the Labour Party and was held in the highest esteem in the = Gorbals C.L.P., Gorbals Y.S. and in Kingston Ward Labour Association. He . represented the Y.S. in the City Party E.C. and the Scottish Council of the Labour Party. He was also the National Committee momber of the Y.5. representing Scotland. Since no charge of any kind has been presented to deprive him of membership of the party, the action of the N,=,.C, in uphold ing the Bast Islington decision, contrasts strangely with their aotion in relation to the upholding the application of certain members of Kingston Ward. The N.E.C, reinstated them against the unamimous wishes of the Ward and Con-— Bitueney Labour Parties. This ¢deciion was loyally accepted by the Constit-— uency Labour Parties and the Ward. We call on the N.8.C, to reverse the al decision with regard to Angus Macdonald
