At its last meeting the Lenton ward Labour Party passed unanimously, the following resolutions:
"That the Regional Council establish a working party to consider evidence from local parties and persons active in local governemnt as to how there can be a radical reform of local government financo. That such a working party should collect evidonce about the effects of high interest charges and inflated land values on local authorities, with a view to preparing a report for the use of the NEC on framing general election policies, and to assist local parties in local campaigns.’ STOP PRriiss ITuMs
