We reproduce hero the text of a lenflet which the Comittee of 100 has produced to explain its aims and objectives to trade unionists. We think it is of interest because it shows the political evolution of the Comaittee of 100 with both its negative and postive features clearly. The text reads: D2ADLOCK

The Great Powers are caught in a rat race that can only end in atomic war. Working people have nothing to gain from such a conflict. They can be a party no longer to the quarrols of their rulers.

All means whereby we can offectively make our foelings felt are closed. Hundreds of thousands are cpposed to the Government's nuclear strategy. Dut both major parties support the use of the nuclear "deterrent" - sometimes against tho wish of their own mombors. Other political partics support the manufacture and testing of the Russian Bomb, objecting only to British or Auerican ones. None can honostly speak in the name of humanity. OBTICTIVES

The politicians have no mandate to reduce Britain to a radio-active graveyard. Their bases and rocket sites do not "protect" us, They convert these islands into an enormous target.

The peril is so great that wo have initiated a campaign of massivo civil disobedicnce. Our aims are to draw people's attention to the dangers that confront them and to compel the government to abandon its nuclear policy or else to get out.
