Congress by the arch on ton to End the Wor in

Vietnan

We, the participants inthe March on Washington to. Ind the War in Victnan, petition Congress to act innediately to end the war, You currently have ot your disposal many schenes, including reconvening of the Goneve Conference, negotiation with the National Liberation Front ond North Vietman, immediate withdrawal, and UN-supervised ¢leotions. Although those ‘anong us ndeht differ as to which | of these is most desirable, we are unanincusly of the opinion that the war nust be brought

This war is inflicting wnteld harm on the people of Victnan. It is being fought in behalf of n succession of unpopulor remines, not for the ideals you proclain, Our nilitary are obviously being defented; yet we persist in extending the war. The problots of Anerica cry out for attention, ond cur eritanglenent in South Vietnan postpones the confrontation of thease ilasues while prolongine the nisery of the people of that war-torn lond,

You nust act now to reverse this sorry stnte of affairs, We call on you to end, not extend, the war in Vietnon.
