The left has been characterised in the House of Cormons by a desire to avoid at all costs embarrassing the Labour Government. Many of us think they have gone too far in this direction and have actually defeated the aims of their own actions, Be that as it may, there is no possible justification for the way the Labour M.P.s have been treated. If anyone wants punishing it is the Cabinet which has broken every election promjse it made and has betrayed every principle the founders of the Labour Party stood for. Transport House should be bombarded with protests.
