(Assistant General Secretary AEU)
"The war in Vietnam is reaching a most critical stage and is pregnant with danger to world peace. Hither the war must be brought to an end quickly by the Americans ceasing their war of aggression and leaving the Vietnamese to settle their own affairs or we shall find ourselves involved in a World Wide Nuclear War, The T.U.C. and the Labour Party have made clear their opposition to this worst of all wars and I urge all Trade Unionists to continue their opposition until peace and justice has been established in Vietnam," * in his personal capacity.
