The Pottery Workers Society is to go ahead with the test case it is bringing in a bid to break the pay freeze, The case originally due to be heard at Ilkeston, Derby, has been deferred to Derby County Court on December 21. The union, through one of its members is suing Denby Pottery, alleging breach of contract over a pay agreement for stoneware workers.
