from Dave Windsor In a paper to the British Nuclear Energy Society, Dr. Glen T. Seaborg, Chairman of the U.S, Atomic Energy Commission, predicted that by 1980 plutonium production will have reached a level sufficient for "tens of bombs a day." Dr. Seaborg's answer to this grim prospect is to call for an extensive system of controls. I would put another point of view: if by 1980 we are likely to have enough H. bombs made every day to wipe out civilisation, surely the question of socialism as a worldwide system is a matter of urgency?
