from a special correspondent

The folloving excerpt from the mimites of the National Association of Operative Plasterers is a poignant indication of the state of mind of a part of the movement just before Labour's crucial conference last year: . ¢ Sixty-Fourth Annual Conferera: The Agenia and the Report of the Labour Party Executive which was to be submitted to the Anmal Conference at Blackpool had been circulated to members of the Council. The General Secretary stated there may be many varied opinions expressed at the Conference seeing that 411 members of the Parliamentary Labour Party were not of the same mind, and various points of view had been expressed by different Members of Parliament, and it could be there will be some conflicting resolutions submitted to Conference, and the General Secretary asked for guidance with regard to any Card Vote that might be taken "It was agreed that our Card Vote should be used to support the Executive Committee of the Labour Party, and any requests from the platform should have our support."
