An organisation has been formed in Bristol tn fight any legislatien which would tend to restrict the freedom in industrial action of the trade union movement. Styled the Committee for the Defence of Trade Unions, the organisation is sending a petition to workers in factories all over the South West and in South Wales. The petition expresses complete opposition to all legislation which would interfere with rights of unions te bargain or threaten the freedom of action of shop stewards, Anyone wanting copies of the petitions should write to Danny Ryan, 39, Bridge St., Barrow Rde, Bristol 5. This development is extremely interesting in view of the campaign against the trade unions in the press just new. It is tc be hoped that other eroups of trade unionists follew this example,
