We have received the following communication from the Council of African Organisations 3 "Operation = Rhodesia "For the past 500 years, Africans and peoples of African descent have been abused, subjugated, deprived of their lands and in general were pillaged by the imperial powers. "Today, a New Africa is emerging, determined to regain all that rightfully belongs to all her children, However, in Rhodesia, as in other areas of South Africa, those foreign colonial settlers who believe in a racialist order are fighting a last ditch battle, With the support of racial chauvinists and powerful financial interests, they now challenge all decent sections of humanity, of all races and creeds. "More than ever, Africans, peoples of African descent and all peoples through= out the world belia@ing in human dignity and justice, must meet this evil - Conspiracy, squarely, whatever the cost. We must not allow this new crime against’ Africa, against humanity, to succeeds The racists must be crushed. They have resorted to brutal force and violence. They must be met on that level and taught a final lesson by all decent peoples of all races, "The African Action Committee has been set up to recruit volunteers and collect funds to help those forces fighting for freedom. We must put an end to empty protests and build up a strong force to compel the racists (Smith and Verwoerd) and their imperialist supporters to accept the will of decent mankind.
