Buckle, general secretary of the National Society of Electrotypers and Stereotypers, had this to say in the October issue of the union's journal: "The right of trade unions to negotiate freely the wages and condit= ions of their members has received a check from which, wnless my reading of events is badly at fault, they will never break free....I have a strong feeling that the Government has gone too far and too fast..""
