from an American reader Records published by the Pentagon on October 9th show that total purchases of poison gas amounted to $607,112 during the fiscal year 1964 and about $800,000 in the fiscal year 1965. So far in this fiscal year, which began on July 1st, the total procurement has amounted $1,021,746, or $200,000 more than the whole of the previous year. The U.S. Defence Department has openly admitted that the bulk of the poison gas is for use in Vietnam.
