Uncorrected machine reading. This text was read by machine (Tesseract OCR) from a scan of a stencilled typescript and has not been corrected. Expect misread words; titles in particular are often garbled where the issue printed no contents list. Quote from the scan, not from this page.
How this article was cut and titled: large-type headline; heuristic; title from the OCR of the heading.

EADERS will have noticed that The Week has two new sponsors: Lawrence Daly, and Eric Varley, MP. Mr. Lawrence Daly recently won the position of General Secretary of the»Scottish National Union of Mineworkers. He was a miners’ agent in Fifeshire and a county councillor. Mr. Eric Varley is Member of Parliament for Chesterfield sponsored by the NUM. In recent months he has been taking an active interest in the progress of the Steel Nationalisation Bill. He has also participated in the discussions around workers’ control for the steel industry.

EASTER ‘65

EASTER MARCH: CND is organ-

ising a three-day march this year,

from High Wycombe (Bomber Com-

mand HQ), via Uxbridge (USAF

base), to Trafalgar Square.

The march costs a lot to organise,

and all marchers are being asked to

pay a 5/- registration fee. Marchers

living in the London area cannot be

provided with accommodation; but if

you can’t find anywhere to stay

yourself, there will be some rough

accommodation provided on the

nights of Good Friday, Saturday, and

Sunday. IF YOU CAN MARCH,
