Perhaps we could have asribed Mr. Gunter's vicious attack on the B.E.A. strikers to bad temper at being delayed; but his subsequent speech at Edinburgh could hardly be so excused. Mr. Gunterts utterances over Whitsun could have been made by any right wing Tory, and his speech about discipline would have gone down well at a Fascist rally. . His intervention in the B.E.A. strike undoubtedly encouraged the employers to take their antiunion stand. Mr. Gunter should go; it is a very dangerous thing to have such a man as the Minister of Labour,
