At the private meetings of steel workers held in Sheffield last February, it was agreed to meet again shortly after the Government's proposals for Steel Nationalisation were annoviced, Now that the Government White Paper on Steel Nationalisation has been pubiished and the Prime Minister has declared his determination to go ahead with introducing a Bill into Parliament to implement the proposals, it has been decided to recall the conference, The conference will take place this Sunday, 30th May in Sheffield. All those who have taken part in the discussions on steel nationalisation are invited. Applications for full details should be made to: Councillor W. Meade, 31, Far Lane, Sheffield 6, It should be noted that the conference is not just for steel workers, but active Labour Party members and trade unionists. In view of speculation about possible delay in introducing the Bill, it would be most apt for this conference to be as -successful as possible,
