The National Union of Press Telegraphists, with a membership of 1,50, is to amalgamate with the National Graphical Association, which has 82,000 members, it was announced last week. The former N.U.P.T. members will form a telecommunications and electronics trade group of the N.G.A. with their present general secretary, Mr. M.A. Clayton, as a national trade group officer of that group. The amalgamation will come into force on June 28th this year.
