Dave Lambert, general secretary of the Found:y Workers Union, had this to say in his union's journal this week:

“Workers must have more say in how our industries are run, Wherever decisions are teken which directly affect the welfare of foundry workers we are entitled to be there. This applies at national and at company level; to employers great and small. The fact is that where key questions of production are concerned we have had no real information and no power at all. The secrets of the boardroom will have to be shared. Labour's first statement on "The Economic Situation" starts off all right. Effective rights for workers in all industries are the best guarantee that our future will be bright."
