The TORT Bolletin- of 15 October renorted: “On behalf of 5 millien civil servents end public service employees srouped in the Public Seryices Internetional, P. Tofahrn, the PSI. General Secretary, hes protested against the present oppression in Southern Rhodesia, notably the inprisqnment of a number of the cotmtry's trade union leaders; In a letter to Mr. Fan Smith, Prime Minister of Southern Rhodesia, Tofahrn declered thet the misuse of legislative, judicial and police powers waa part of the master race ideology which permeated and inflamed politics in Southern Rhodesia, Perseverance in this erroncous course of action could lead ta disasters, Tofahrn added, one of which would be that the Scuthern Rhodesian Government would disqualify itself for the exercise of power in the eyes af civilised men..."
