On July the 3rd, 1964, the National Conference for Amesty will open in Caracas, under the charimanship of Senator Miguel Acosta Saignes who heads the National Committee for the Release of Political Prisoners, Senator ficosta Saignes is also Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Central University. The Conference has received support from many political and intellectual sectors, including ex-President Larrazabal and Senator Pietri. International solidarity is needed for the Conference to achieve its aim: the release of more than a thousand political prisoners,

We call upon all British democratic institutions and personalities to express their support for the Conference, Messages from trade unions, students! organisations and political organisations as well as from individuals will result in a great deal of strength for the Conference, which in this way will carry out its duties in a more effective way.
