This issue of the Week will be the first that many Young Socialists have seen. We should first explain that our journal is intended as a news service to socialists and not, as a 'do-—it-yourself! dispenser of absolute truth. There are enough of the latter on the market already. We believe that we can provide quite a useful service for Young Social— ists in particular, Owing to the structure of the Y.S. and its lack of a weekly press, not to mention the factions, the Y.S. movement is atomised. The Week will be pleased to do its mite in ovorcoming this by publishing reports of activities, campaigns, opinions, etc. sent in by Y.S. correspondentse A report sent into the Week will onsure that what has been a local issue will become known throughout the country in a few days. We also welcome the use of our material in other journals.
