i man deseribed by «a foreman om an informer wns accused of "planting" equipment on two vehicles at B.M.C, Hathgate factory, with the intention of having othars accused of stealing it. Henry Joseph iulligan appesred at Linlithgow Sheriff Court on two cherges of attempting to pervert the course of justice, One charge alleges that he concealed two fuel injector pumps on a vehicle owned by a contractor, Andrew Johnstone, who reported the mattor to the police when he found them. Mullizgen had reported that Johnetone had stolen the pumps to the factory security officers

The second charge concerned throe men working on a gulley—cuttor vehicle, one of them, significantly enough, a Transport and Goneral Workers Union shop steward, They had bsen stopped by security men when they Isft the factory and two pumps were found in a sack. 4 foreman Biving evidence said that Mulligan was an informer to the security chief,
