Following the item in the last issue of the Weok, we read in the Oil And Gas Journal that: “France is negotiating for big supply of Dutch natural gas. Dutch natural gas is looking far more attractive to the Fronch than the mammoth gas reservos of the Sahara with all thoir prob loms...The contract talks with the Dutch gas producing company are regarded in Burope as just one more indication that the Fronch have loss and less confidence in tho future of the Sahara as primarily a French energy source.

"This does not mean that the French have abandoned plans to try to bridge the mMediterranean with some kind of pipeline system to move Saharan gas to Gurope. But, it is obvious that the socialist administr ation of Premier Don Tella has compelled French gas planner to shift priorities..."
