The cause of the Rovolutionary Government is ominontly just. The leading coalition party, tho Afro~Shirz Party, obtained 549% of the votes at the last olection. Cnly the Prousar constitucncy distrib ution, rigged by the Colonial Cffice, prevented its pooceful assumption of power. Tho Sultants party, based on 2 rural social order, only one step away from slavery, where flogging is still tho punishment fcr any infringoment of landlord rights, recently domonstrated its antidonocratic nature by banning the Umma (Pooplets) the other momber of tho revolutionary conlition, Abdul Rehman Mahomed (Tam), the leader of the one Farty, was imprisoned by the Colonial CfYPices with the connivance cf the Sultan, until shortly before the olections.e The electoral majority of tha new reveoluticnary conlition would have been even larger had the Umma Party been abla to contest the elections. both ruling partios arc committed to programmes of militant socialisn and antiminporinlicme
