Scottish Socialist has received several queries about the "Home Rule" slogan used in issue 4. It was felt that the SAP's use of the slogan had made its synonymous with

independence.

Scottish Socialist is against independence but supports the right of the Scottish people to determine their own form of government and to have an elected Assembly. It was felt that this corresponded to the demand for "Home Rule" as used by the carly

labour movement.
