However, the example of the French workers and youth is likely to be infectious; and the fall of de Gaulle is a reminder of the fact that the [illegible] of ordinary people is decisive.

THE FOURTH INTERNATIONAL

[illegible] its inception in 1965, the Internationalist Marxist Group has struggled for [illegible] the Fourth International in Britain. [illegible] is to be an internationalist [illegible] congress and its deliberations in future issues of INTERNATIONAL, but in the meantime we [illegible] out that the decision was accompanied by [illegible] all members of the Fourth International in Britain to join the IMG immediately. Moreover the IMG points out that all [illegible] in Britain [illegible] be part of the Fourth International [illegible] of socialism founded by Leon Trotsky, [illegible] discussions [illegible] with a view to [illegible].

The IMG, despite the inexperience of its cadre and the difficulty of operating in a country with larger forces calling themselves trotskyist, has [illegible] in this respect and has managed to improve its organisation, numerically and [illegible]. However, the Fourth International takes the [illegible] of a section very seriously. It has a well-tried procedure for [illegible]. At the last world congress of the [illegible] question was thoroughly [illegible] British section. [illegible] IMG is proud to achieve this position at the moment [illegible] the entry into the Fourth International [illegible] League of France (the direct successor of the [illegible]), which has brought in [illegible] real [illegible].
