from a Havana correspondent

Tha following report woes sent to us by a British Young Socialist now working in Cuba, The students he refers to have visited Cuba despite an embargo imposed upon travel to Cuba by ths United States Goverment. This is why oid committees have bean set up, others returning from Cuba since the embargo have been taken to court, notably the negro journalist William Vorthy, We haven't up-to-date information as to what happened when the students returned (if they have returned yet) tt will give this as soon as possible, Ed note,

I have mixed in with somo of the 58 American students here and found them an interesting lote.e.Thera are aid committees being set up in the universities and colleges in support of these students, and also the majority of the families of the students are really moving -— getting motorcades and celebrations organised for them when they return (even though before the trip many of the parents were anti-Cubal )sses

The reaction in Cuba to. the students is 2 wonderful examplo of internationaliam =— the people have cheered them wherever they have gone and they have been everywhere, (they have ¥isited)...prisons (political and civil) and had interesting conversations with Fidel, Che Guevara and Fresid nt Dorticos (separate interviews) with no holds barred, ~in fact, there wore even some questions about Trotskyiom....is far as I am concerned thease government leaders are bang on the ball. They set an example to follow in everything! tureaucracy is between the government and workers - the middle class of before the ravolution, some opportunists, oatc,, but the people aren't subdued by these types, on the contrary. The government have stated time and time again to the people (that they should)..stop and smash bureaueracy whenever and WHEREVER the tondencies appear. Between them and with the new rising youth srowing in tho midst of the revolution I can only see a bright prospective future for the Cuban people and the revolution,
