Of special interest this week is the Financisl Times article on the function of Nicky ond the Gov ernment action in taking the ongineoring settlement to that body. This piece is renarkably frank about what it thinks (or rathor what big business thinks) Nicky's role should be and how the Government should act in the prasent reund of wage negotiations, Of course, the modifying a is that. the Financial Times does not have to take into account alectoral considerations to same extent as the Tories but it rennins to be seen how far the Govermmant will follow the advice given.

Wa have included another item on the mich victinised seaman, John Dixon, and hope that resders will make tha facts know about this case, Ths cther item on pago 3 is very interesting peinter to the extent to which "peaceful co-existence" concepts dominate those who follow King Street, The Tritish Peace Comm ittee, which alwnys follows the official C.F. lina, took a line on Polaris which places it well to tha right of the Labour Party conference decision, CND,; and nearly everyone else.
