Spoakin; in Batna (Eastern Algeria), Bon Bella said: "1,700,000 hectares" (approx, 4 million acres) "of land have been taken over from the colonists and we are proparing agrarian laws which would return to our ponasants not only land of the French colonists but that of Algerians who had become inordinately rich,...tut mich time and effort sare needed to bring about & real agrarian reform and a poworful industry." He expressed the opinion that colonialism would not allow Algeria to proceed with construction smoothly.
