in Bltham correspondent has reported the following activitics in the defences campaign for Hugo Blanco. The correspondent has himself writton to Peruvian Embagsy on tho matter ond has recoived no response, The Githam Well National Co-operative Guild and Groenwich Young Secialists both assed resolutions on the matter. Tho one from the Guild was reported in the press and passed on the P.C. of the Royal irsenal Co-op. The Greenwich Y.5. | rosolution went to the Greonwich Constituency Labour Party, which passed it and forwarded it to Transport House. Toth the Royal Arsenal Co-op. and the Greenwich C,L,P. received answers from the Intarnational Department of Tranm port house which claimed that Blanco had been offered his freedom in exchange for a pledge not to try to overthrow the government. Blanco rofused to givo the undertaking according to the report. Moro action is planned,
