Nottingham CND has a Fallx 63 Centro at 4, Park Row, which will be open in the evenings from November 4th to 18th, for the sale of Campaign litorature, particularly "Civil Defonce and Nuclelf, as a base for Fallx activities and as a meoting place for CNDers and others interested in the movement. There is a demonstration on the Old Market Square on Sunday the 17th of November commencing at 6,30.

Commenting on tho figures, the Treasury Bulletin said, “Public soctor housebiilding is only part of the total housing programme, Since building controls were lifted, private househuilding has been able to play a greater part in meoting the nation's housing neods, This has moant that within the public sector emphnsis could be turned from housing to other forms of social investment such as education and roads. As a result, the share of resources devoted to public sector housing declined from 3. %% of the G.N.P,. to 2,0% in 1958 and has since remained pretty steady."

It might have added that whereas most public sector housing is conc orned with building houses for rent, privete bilding is conecerned with building houses for sale, It would also be interesting to see how the increases in iuterest rates has decreased the amount of tmiilding done,
