The Federation of West German Trade Unions with a mombership of over 6 million has demanded a wage increase for all industrial and office workers, The Union of Public Service Workers and Transport and Communications, the Union of German Emplye®s and the Railwaynons" Union have demanded a wage increase of 34 per hour. The Postal Workers Union has demanded a 6 -—8 % wage increase. The paper Noue Rhoinzeitung reported that the Trade Unions were coming out in a United Front. Their demands for wagg ingrsases were prompted by a considerable growth of prices for food, higher fees for municpal services and rent.
