Ks we have reported previously, the South Nottinghamshire Federation of Young Socialists organised a school on Algeria Sunday 23rd of June. Despite the fact that it was not very well attended (some 15 or so people), it was very valuable, in that not only were people attending an account of the hist-— ory and development of the Algerian Revolution from Denis Anderson, bit also

heard a report of the Aid to Algeria Conference. The contributions of the speakers evoked a lot of questions and general support was given from the audience for the idea of establishing a viable local committees to help the work of getting aid for Algeria, Several projects were discussed in a practical way. Plans are atbot to have speakers on the conference at the different Young Socialist branches,

Arrangements are under way to translate and produce 'as a leaflet the spsech made by Ben Bella to the "Aid to Algaria' Conference. Delegates end others interested in this work are of the opinion that this will provide avery good basis for explaining to people what the conference was about and generally obtaining support for the campaign.
