At all the mestings rank and file speakors assured the area leaders that the 32,000 miners aro roady to take immediate industrial action to back thoir domands. At Alfroton only two hands were raisod against a resolution calling for the national exccutive to take a strike ballot for a national stoppage if the coal board's offer was unsatisfactory (which it Was).
