At its last meeting on the weekend of 6th/7th January, the Yorkshire federation of Trades Councils, representing 36 Councils, passed an emergoncy resolution calling upon the Mecca ballroom, Bradford to lift their colour bar restrictions on admission, It also called qupon all a sections of the trade union movement and labour party to do the same oppose the Mecca policy. The meeting also condemned the Government's Colour bar Immigl-ation Bill.
