Derbyshire's 32,000 miners are setting the pace for a national wago claimg campaign, They have prepared and issued an vight page pamphlet "Smash the Wage Freeze", thousands of leaflets putting their case and hundreds of double-crown posters calling on the pit-men to prepare for action to win a rise of 3s.4d. per shift. In addition they have announced plans for oight mass mootings, tho first of which is this Saturday the 13th at the ChestorfieldMiners! Welfare at 10, 30. On sunday 14th, also 10.30 there will bo meotings at Alfreton, Shirebrook and Iieanor, The following Sunday tho 2lst, mootings at Staveley, Whitwell, Ilkeston and Glapwell, All trade unionists, Labour Party members, ospecially Young Socia= lists should link themselves with this campaign.
