At the earliest opportunity, on Wednesday October 24, Labour Party speakers ensured that an open-air mecting called by Paddington 2nti-Fascist Comm ittee was transformed into a protest against the threatened U.S. invasion of Cuba. The crowd was asked to accompany Committes members to Grosvenor Square, where trade-unionists wore demonstrating outside the U.5. iimbassy. On Sunday afternoon, October 28, South Paddington Labour Party called a march from Bayswater to Trafalcar Square, where the Hands Off Cuba Committee and the Union of Democratic Control heid a joint meeting, The Paddington march was well supported by members of North and South Padding ston C.L.P.s, the Young S°ialists, South Paidington Communist Party, local trade-unionists and members of tenants! organisations, SOUTH SHIBLDS LABOUR PuRTY AND TRAD.S COUNCIL DENOUNGS:: U.S. ACTION OVIR CURA (from a Durham correspondent) :
