Ii, Ivatts, who started the hunger strike, said: "this crisis, brought about by lire Kennedy's action and Britain's support of it, threatens to destroy all that I and other students everywhere have been trained for.We all have a personal responsibility to make our protest and achieve wo..ld peace." On Wednesday night :600 Swansea students marched on Guildhall and handed a letter of protest over President Kennedy's action to the mayor, Alderman lirs,Rose Crosse They then clected a deputation of 22 to hitch—hike to London to hand in lettcors to the Russion and American iimbassies and the Home Offica.
