Central Nottingham C.L.P. opposes N.G.Ce action against Young Socialists

Constituency Labour Party passed the following resolutions

"That this constituency Labour Party views with dismay the recent attacks on Young Socialist newspapers. and investigations into democratically elected Young Socialist Natioral Committce members. Recognising that freedom to express one's point of view is an essential right in a democratic organisation we demand that these Young Socialist newspapers be allowed to go on publishing."

The resolution was carried with one vote against (that of the paid organiser of the Labour Party in Nottingham). The meeting was also noteworthy because of the election of a well—knowa left-winger to City Labour Zxecutive.
