At its last mceoting on the 6th of ‘Tlarch the Nottingham 1.1.5. of the Coop Party passed unanimously a resolution doploring the savage sontonces on the six mombers of the Committoo of 100 at tho recont Old Bailoy trial. Tho resolution expressed the opinion that the Government is trying to suppress pooplbis political opinions and activities by bringing such prosocutions. Tho resolution was sent to the Home Office, the North Nottingham Labour 1.P.. "hitlock, who has signed an order paper protesting azainst tho sontonces, and the pross,. 5 es at its last mecting the St. Anns ward Labour Party wont on rocord as boing support of Whitlock on his stand on this cas. During the last few ‘days: a number of organisations have condemned ths sentences including tho ‘ixecutive of the T.G..U. which also registered its opposition to all tests by all countrios.
