As wo go to press the news has just beon announced of the decision of the Parlianontary Labour Party not to oppose the resumption of the tests by the West. o hope to comment on this moro fully next week. In tho meantime, wo must say that this monstrous hypocritical act mst be opposed and denounced. We would suggest thet comrades get hold of press cuttings,etc., with the statomonts made at the time the Russians resumed their tests. Just as wo criticised the Communist Party for drawing a distinction betweon Soviet strontium 90 and Amorican strontium 90, wo mst nay do the Same in respect to Gaitskoll and co. Thoir role as apolopists for U.S imperialism has never been moro clearly shown. Coming at a time when sections of the C.N.D. movement aro considcring putting up their ow candidates,i.e. contracting out of the strugelo to make the Labour Party a unilateoralist party this decision cantiake the task of the left all the moro harder.
